If you want to claim on your warranty, just visit your Approved Service Centre with your service history to hand. Usually, they’ll carry out the repair straight away. But please be aware some repairs might need the go ahead from Land Rover first.

Vehicle warranty

3-year unlimited mileage warranty*

Your Land Rover is a feat of engineering, design and development. If any part of it needs repairing or replacing due to a manufacturing defect during these first three years, it’ll be done free of charge by any Approved Service Centre.

Your tyres are covered separately by the tyre manufacturer. However, your Approved Service Centre can help you with any claim.

Genuine Land Rover accessories are also covered by the same new vehicle warranty, providing they are fitted by an Approved Service Centre within one month or 1000miles/1600km, whichever comes first.

As a Land Rover owner

There’s a lot you can do as an owner to keep your warranty valid.

Your owner’s handbook and service portfolio sets out how to take proper care of your Land Rover. It’s your responsibility to make sure your vehicle gets the maintenance it needs, using materials that meet Land Rover’s engineering specs. You could be risking your warranty if you don’t carry out necessary maintenance, including regular cleaning of bodywork, as per Land Rover’s service intervals.

The sooner problems are spotted, the easier they’re fixed. So take your vehicle to an Approved Service Centre as soon as possible; this helps avoid further damage and additional repairs.

And remember to keep any paperwork and receipts for maintenance or repairs, and always get any work recorded in your service portfolio.

As well as your three year unlimited mileage manufacturer warranty, your vehicle has a paint surface warranty. This begins at the same time as your vehicle warranty and continues for three years. If there are any defects to the paint itself, or resulting from the way it was applied, repairs will be carried out free of charge by any Approved Service Centre.

Your paint surface warranty doesn’t cover repair or replacement that’s required as a direct result of:

- Failure to properly maintain paint and bodywork by regular cleaning in accordance with Land Rover's instructions.

- Failure to rectify on a timely basis any paint or corrosion damage recorded in the service portfolio by an Approved Service Centre at the time of the annual inspection factors beyond Land Rover's control, such as natural hazards (salt, industrial fall-out, storm damage, acid rain) and damage (including stone chips, scratches and use of unsuitable cleaning agents).

- Accident repairs using materials or methods of repair that have not been approved by Land Rover.

- Alterations of the vehicle from Land Rover's original specification.

Your vehicle has an anti-corrosion warranty which begins at the same time as the vehicle warranty and is valid for six years, regardless of who owns the vehicle. If any part of your vehicle’s bodywork is perforated by rust corrosion, the affected panel will be repaired or replaced by any Approved Service Centre, free of charge. (When we say 'perforation' we’re talking about holes that penetrate the bodywork, caused by corrosion. These can be a result of faulty manufacture or materials.)

Your Land Rover is made for touring. And our comprehensive service network is just as well travelled, with branches all over the world. Any Approved Service Centre can carry out repairs on your vehicle under warranty.

It’s your responsibility to produce your service portfolio (as proof of your warranty and right to the maintenance and service materials associated with it). If you can’t, the Approved Service Centre may have to check with Land Rover, the local importer or national sales company before undertaking any work.

In most cases, all repairs will be free. But in exceptional circumstances, you may be faced with a charge for repairs which are actually covered by your warranty. If this happens, keep the invoice (and, if possible, any replaced parts) and your Approved Service Centre can reimburse you promptly when you’re home.
